Caricaturists found Jeanette MacDonald a good subject to lampoon. The red gold hair, the sea green eyes, the beguiling smile and her distinctive profile were all utilized by artists in their caricatures. Artwork images of her appeared everywhere from Sardi's in New York to MGM publicity advertisements for exhibitors.
